New Year (2007) Update

Greetings and Happy 2007!
For those readers of my orignal "Good Morning" blog, I thought I would provide a few updates:
First of all, LeapFrog is listed on the NYSE so here's a link to check out the latest stock price/trends:

Next, if you're interested in what I've been up to at LeapFrog, a link (you'll have to paste each link into your browser's address bar) that outlines our strategy and an audio link so that you can listen to my discussion of it at our 3rd quarter conference call (caution: it's over an hour). If you have the time to take a look at this or to listen to the analyst call, you'll see that a lot of work lies ahead for me and my colleagues.

I've spent my first six months at LeapFrog fully engaged in developing the company's strategy, strengthening our management team, meeting my colleagues around the LeapFrog world, ensuring we're moving to implement our new product and marketing plans (visible partially in 2007, but principally in late 2008), and working with the world's large retailers improve our performance.
It's fair to say that this is a company where one has the opportunity (and I certainly enjoy it) to have fun each day. There is a tremendous amount of work to do, but each day centers around kids, parents, and making stuff that helps kids learn.
I remain an active member of the NWA board of directors, particpating on the audit committee and the restructuring committees of the board. The company has made substantial progress in its restructuring. Enough so that they've announced that they'll earn a profit for 2006 and pay profit sharing to their employees. I think that is quite an achievement by the hard working men and women at NWA in a brutally tough industry.
Finally, the inset photo is a shot of me piloting a Pilatus PC 12, that my wife lets me fly when time permits.
Wish you all well,
Jeff
